PROGRAM FEATURES:

1. Making a new puzzle
   A. From the initial screen select "Main Options" ,then
      "Make a New Puzzle".
   B. A horizontal box numbered from 8 to 21 appears. Use the
arrow keys to highlight the desired puzzle size. The sizes
range from 8 by 8 to 21 by 21. Select the "OKAY" button to
      continue, or "CANCEL" to quit.
   C. A blank, unnumbered puzzle box will be shown. Indicate
blackened squares by moving to the desired squares with
the arrow keys, then hitting any key. To change a square
back again, hit any key again while in it. When ready,
select "ALL DONE" to continue, or "CANCEL" to quit.

Note: Select the "Auto Mirror Imaging" box if you want to
blacken or clear the diametrically opposite square
at the same time. This helps make symmetrical puzzles.

2. Modifying an existing puzzle
   A. From the initial screen select "Main Options" ,then
      "Edit a Puzzle".
   B. A list of puzzles will be presented. Use the arrow keys or
mouse to highlight the desired puzzle. Select "OKAY" to
      continue or "QUIT" to quit.

2A. Modifying Clues:
Highlight the desired clue position, then press the "ESCAPE"
key. A box will appear above the clue list. Type in the desired
text, and select the "Save" button to keep the clue or the
"Cancel" button to throw out the change.

2B. Modifying Answers:
Move around the puzzle box using tabs, arrows or the mouse.
Type in the desired answer text. All text will appear in CAPS.
Note: Tabbing moves the caret from answer to answer. "Across"
answers first time through, then the "Down" answers.

2C. Adding or modifying Heading Lines for the printout:
Under 'Current Options', select 'Add/Modify Header'.
A box will appear above the clue list. Type in either or both
of 2 lines, as desired. Each line can be justified individually
using the "Left", "Right" or "Center" buttons. The default is
"Left" if no choice is made.

3. Solving a puzzle
(new solution, or contination of an ongoing 'solution')
   A. From the initial screen select "Main Options" ,then
      "Solve a Puzzle".
   B. A list of puzzles will be presented. Use the arrow keys or
mouse to highlight the desired puzzle. Select "OKAY" to
continue or "QUIT" to quit. Note: A name in the list with
a numerical extension (last 3 digits after the period) is
      an 'ongoing solution'.
   C. To see how you're doing, select "Current Options", then
"Check/Recheck My Answers". Clues for wrong answers will
      be marked with an asterisk.
NOTE: There is no option for naming 'solutions' The program
does this automatically by using the corresponding puzzle
file name with a numerical extension (starting with 001).

4. After New/Edit/Solve are up
   A. Under the menu choice "Current Options" are choices for
save, save as, close, or cancel the puzzle. "Close"
automatically saves the puzzle. If the puzzle is new, or
"save as" is chosen, user will be prompted for a file name.
Use any name desired. Selecting "Cancel" causes any changes
since the last "Save" to be thrown out. The
"Choose Answer Font" item allows the user to change the
font used in the puzzle box, but not in the clue box.
This will have no affect on any subsequent prints.

      "Delete a Puzzle".
